We Ask: Why am I tried?

Do the people think that they will be left to say, “We believe”, and they will not be tried?. But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars” (QS. Al Ankaboot: 2-3)

We ask: Why haven’t I got what I really want?

“Fighting has been enjoined upon you while it is hateful to you. But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah knows, while you know not.” (QS: Al Baqara 216)

We ask: Why are the tried so hard?

“ Allah does not charge a soul except (with that within) its capacity…” (QS: Al Baqara: 286)

We ask: Why am I so weak?

“So do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are (true) believers” (QS: Aal-E Imran 139)

We ask: How do I face it?

“O you who have believed, persevere and endure and remain stationed and fear Allah that you may be successful” (QS. Aal-E Imran 200)

And We ask again: How do I face it?

“And seek help through  patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive (to Allah)” (QS. Al Baqarah 45)

We ask: What will I get from all this?

“Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties (in exchange) for that they will have paradise…” (QS. At Tawba 111)

We ask: Whom do I hope for?

“Sufficient for me is Allah; there is no deity except Him. On Him I have relied, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne” (QS. At Tawba 129)

We said: I can’t be scraping along!!

“…Indeed, no one despairs of relief from Allah except the disbelieving people” ( QS.Yusuf 87)

We ask: When will this hardship stop?

“For indeed, with hardship (will be) ease. Indeed, with hardship (will be) ease.” (Al Inshirah 6-7)
